Long Long Gone uses the cultural iconography of the cowboy to investigate masculinity and the American Dream. It is a series of character portraits of a masked ranger, completely alone in the desert, falling victim to delusion while still performing power and dominance—if only within his  fantasies. The work is a provocation to and reflection of the current era of political and cultural hegemony. It also serves as a personal reflection on the passage of time and my moving away from Greenville, SC for Boston, MA.
